The St. Paul Jewish Federation has chosen Dan Mogelson to be Chief Development Officer (CDO). Mogelson is returning to work in St. Paul after being the director of affinities & global experiences at the Minneapolis Jewish Federation. He starts his new position on June 1, 2021.
In his new role, Mogelson will help ensure the overall success and growth of Federation’s annual campaign as well as other financial resource development initiatives including endowments, supplemental and corporate gifts, sponsorships, grants and planned giving. He will also strengthen current donor and volunteer relationships and develop new ones.
“We are thrilled to have Dan rejoin Federation to lead financial resource development,” said Ted Flaum, CEO. “Dan is a consummate professional who brings a wealth of experience, strong professional and personal connections to St. Paul, and an understanding of the importance of Jewish community to the position.”
For the past three years at Minneapolis Jewish Federation, he managed a portfolio of donors and campaign workers, staffed the Twin Cities Cardozo and Maimonides Societies, and planned a variety of meaningful travel experiences for the community.
Previous to his work in Minneapolis, Mogelson was the Young Leadership & Israel Programs Director and E. David Fischman Scholarship Administrator at the St. Paul Jewish Federation for 10 years. He staffed Partnership 2Gether and the Shlichut program, as well as the Twin Cities Cardozo and Maimonides Societies.
“I’m excited to have this opportunity to return to the St. Paul Jewish Federation in this role, said Mogelson. “I look forward to the contribution I can make as Federation positions itself to do even more to ensure that a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable Jewish community thrives in St. Paul.”
Dan lives in St. Louis Park with his wife Marlee and son Jack. Beginning June 1, he can be reached at [email protected] or 651.695.3185.
