When he made a career shift to a professional photographer, David Sherman thought he’d take family portraits. While he did that, he has also taken pictures of some of the world’s greatest athletes and entertainers as the in-house photographer for Target Center, U.S. Bank Stadium and Treasure Island Casino. Also, more importantly, he was the photographer who helped create the Transfer of Memory exhibit featuring portraits of Holocaust survivors that live — or lived — in Minnesota. We talk about the newly-released “Transfer of Memory” book, how he broke into the business, and covering some of the biggest names in the NBA, on this week’s Who The Folk Podcast.
