Tommy Hoffman has had a lot of non-profit experience from the volunteer side, but he’d been looking for the right opportunity to work at a non-profit as staff. When the opportunity to aim for the executive director position at Herzl Camp came available, he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try for it. After all, it’s the place that connected him with his Judaism. Now that he has the job after the appointment was announced last week, he has the opportunity to help others make that same connection. We talk about how working at camp decades ago changed his life, why now was the time to make the move to a non-profit, and looking for purpose-driven work, on this week’s Who The Folk?! Podcast.
