Kiel Majewski always thought of himself as a spiritual person, and did his due diligence when it came to both religion and the school his kids would go to. And while doing that research, he tried to take his child out of Minnesota Hillel during TC Jewfolk’s 2022 FolkFest to go home, when a temper tantrum ensued that may have helped steer the Majewski family in the direction they’ve gone — including to Kiel’s job as the development director at the Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School. We talk about some takeaways from his first trip to Israel last month as part of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation Tikvatenu Mission, working at a small-town Holocaust museum, and deciding why he and his family picked Judaism, on this week’s Who The Folk?! Podcast.

This podcast was fascinating to me. What a compelling journey to Judaism.
To choose this and stay with it in such a challenging existential time for Jews.
Both Kiel and Lonny are so thoughtful, well spoken and wise.
