Daniel Rubinyi has dabbled in art since was a child, but particularly in the past few years, he’s taken it a different level. Rubinyi, who also works at Bet Shalom’s Yeladim Preschool, has created more than 400 paintings — mostly with his preferred oil paints — and shows off his work on his website, Autism and Oils. We talk about how his autism helps him as an artist, where his passion for art comes from, and the importance of his family, on this week’s Who The Folk?! Podcast.
This week’s episode is sponsored by The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul, presenting “Mandy Patinkin in Concert: Being Alive” on April 19 and 21. For tickets and more information, go to The Ordway website.

I’ve known Daniel for 20 years and was quite impressed with the interview. Hats off to Daniel and Lonnie for an interesting and lively conversation.
