“I get a big kick out of what it has become,” said event organizer Danny Sigelman. “By the end of the night last year I didn’t know anyone but the bartender, and it was packed. It’s not for me. It’s for whoever wants to enjoy it. It’s cool that it still goes on and it’s still important.”
Sam Rivkin, the son of Prince and the Revolution drummer Bobby ‘Z’ Rivkin, has helped put this year’s lineup of bands together. This year’s lineup includes: Holy Moly, Planet Plookey, The Lone Jew and the Party Crashers, and Dan Israel. Comedians scheduled are: Dan Mogol, Sidney Oxborough and Robert Fones.
Holy Moly is a newly formed rock group started by Sam Rivkin and his brothers, Adam and Joey. They will be joined by guitarist and friend, Scotty Monten. Growing up surrounded by music, the brothers have been playing together for years in groups such as Kin and The Sons Of Moses, along with their father.
“Bobby Z had helped bring in a new generation,” said Sigelman. “Last year was full. It’s no longer my age group. Its became what it should be. Sam and his friends are millennials with nothing else to do. It provides a place for the misfits of the holiday to come.”
