This Month’s Events
Summertime Jewish Learning Across the Twin Cities (Free)
July 5 @ 2-3 p.m.
Join Rabbi Jeremy Fine as he presents his session on “Lamed Vavniks: The 36 Righteous of God”. This program is being presented through a partnership of Hineni and our Twin Cities clergy. You don’t want to miss out on this chance to enjoy some coffee and hear from one of the hippest rabbis in town. This is an ongoing series, so be sure to check the Hineni and TCJF calendars for the rest of the sessions.
A Taste of Camp w/Moishe House (Free)
July 8 @ 2 p.m.
If you’re anything like me, you’re hella-jealous of all the kids who still get to go to Jewish (or any other) summer camp. The Moishe House gang is hopping in their time machine and sharing the experience with you! Activities will include tie-dying, friendship bracelet making, and the like. If you’re feeling nostalgic, this is a GREAT way to scratch your itch. They’ll also be providing information about Camp Nai Nai Nai (camp for adults!).
Minnesota United vs Deportivo Saprissa (TBD)
July 11 @ 7 p.m.
Moishe House is helping folks get tickets for this friendly match with our very own Minnesota United Football Club. The Moishe House gang are gearing up for an entire season of soccer hooliganism, so this is your chance to hit the ground running.
July 12 @ 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Join J-Pride at one of my personal favorite locations in all of Minnesota, for a potluck picnic in the park! This spot is walking distance to falls, comes equipped with a covered shelter with tables and benches, and is within a stone’s throw of a legitimate bathroom. This event will be perfect for families and young adults alike. Greet faces new and old and enjoy good company and the great outdoors. Bring a vegetarian potluck dish to share and a non-perishable food item to donate to PRISM.
Families and folks of all ages welcome! We’ll have games, chalk, and crafts for all to enjoy!

Party Time – July Kicks into Full Gear
JFCS NextGen Summer Party ($10)
July 17 @ 6:30 p.m.
These semi-annual parties have become such a staple of the Young Adult space here in the Twin Cities. Usually, more than 100 people show up, and they are always a blast. The best part? Beyond all the fun, the proceeds go directly to support the great work that JFCS NextGen does and all the programs it helps to support.
Cross River Block Party (Free)
July 18 @ 6-8 p.m.
Sponsored and cultivated by Temple of Aaron, this kickass event will feature a variety of (kosher) food trucks as well as live entertainment and more. This event will also be great for families and kids with tons of activities for everyone.
YALA Summer Hangout Series #3 – Beach Party (Free)
July 19 @ 5-7 p.m.
This is the third of four summer hangouts produced by YALA in partnership with the St. Paul Federation’s Shlicha Tal Dror. This time, we’ll be convening at Bde Maka Ska (fka Lake Calhoun) for an evening of fun, food, beach activities and more! Bring your sunscreen and your friends and let’s have a party. The event ends at 7, but typically folks have hung out for longer.
Moishe House Farmer’s Market Iron Chef (Free)
July 24 @ TBD
Moishe House is putting a spin on an Iron Chef competition! We want to support our local farmers, so we will be getting ingredients from the Mill City Farmer’s market, and cooking up some delicious food back at the house.
August is Coming – Hold on to Summer While You Can
YJP/YALA White Party ($15 early bird – other ticket options available)
July 26 @ 6:30-9:30 p.m.
YJP’s Summer White Party is BACK – this time powered by a partnership with YALA. These parties are a great way to meet new people and have some fun. Dress in your best white attire as you party with fellow young Jewish professionals 21-36. Enjoy a Topshelf Open Bar, Sushi and desserts at ElseWarehouse Party room and rooftop in the Warehouse District of Minneapolis.
July 29 @ 3-5 p.m.
J-Hap is throwing a Backyard Bash, featuring local musician Mick Sterling. Be sure to join in the fun and mingle with J-Hap residents at Cornerstone Creek (9280 Golden Valley Road).
