Passover, the major Jewish spring festival, commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery. One of the most popular Jewish rituals are Seders – at home, in community centers, with family, and with others. The Seder is intended to be a personal experience. It should not, however, be a private one.
At Jewish Family Service of St. Paul, we assist our neighbors to help them face life’s challenges with dignity. As a supporter, you help our clients – our neighbors – as they confront poverty, unemployment, mental illness, emotional distress, loneliness, and isolation. You help them throughout the year. Thank you. And on Passover we do extra.
JFS has a tradition of bringing our supporters and those in need together so more families can celebrate Passover. Passover for All is a joint program of JFS and the St. Paul JCC which enables low-income and isolated Jews to celebrate Passover. We prepare and deliver a bag of Passover supplies to create a more meaningful and accessible holiday. This year, we will deliver over 200 Passover bags.
Please support JFS and our programs. Together, we make a difference for thousands of people every year. And if you can do a little more, a single Passover for All bag is $18. Your additional gift of $180, for example, will serve ten friends.
