Building a Better World Through Tikkun Olam
The Minnesota Jewish Community Foundation (MN JCF) is celebrating 50 years of impact. Since 1974, starting with Frank Trestman z”l and Erwin Kelen, more than 200 volunteers have helped MN JCF grow into the amazing community foundation it is today. Now, MN JCF manages more than $190 million in assets. Collectively, more than $156 million has been granted to nonprofit organizations in Minnesota and around the world from generous donors and families in our Jewish community.
MN JCF unites generations of Jews to support vital causes locally, nationally, and globally. Even in the face of challenges, from a rise in antisemitism to global crises, MN JCF remains dedicated to fostering strength, support, and togetherness within and for our Jewish community.
“Giving. Your Way.”
“MN JCF is a one-stop shop for your philanthropy,” says Ken Raskin, current MN JCF President. “Acting as your philanthropic back-office, we make your giving meaningful and efficient. We take care of all investing, accounting, reporting, research, and grant distributions, and maintain records of all transactions, making your giving as easy as possible. We also work with your entire family to identify values, causes, and organizations that fulfill your wishes.”
MN JCF fundholders range from teenagers to individual adults and families. Their philanthropy supports both Jewish and non-Jewish causes they care about most. MN JCF also holds and grows endowment funds for 17 Jewish non-profit organizations and provides professional advisors with resources and tools to engage in charitable giving conversations.
