Intergenerational Overdose Prevention Training

At this interactive event, you will learn the skills needed to reverse an opioid overdose using Narcan and identify and reverse an overdose. A certificate and Narcan will be given to each participant at the completion of the training. Pizza dinner will be provided.
- The National Institute of Health found that between 1996 and 2024, more than 26,500 opioid overdoses in the U.S. were reversed by laypersons using Narcan
- In Minnesota, we lose an average of four people per day due to overdose
- Come learn how to be part of the solution!
This event is hosted by JFCS’ Addiction and Recovery Services program and Jewish Youth Mentoring Program. It is one of several JFCS events designed to create an opportunity for individuals from different generations to interact with each other and create meaningful social connections.
