Our chapter was established shortly after Hadassah was founded in 1912. Originally known as the “Self-Denial Club,” we began with 22 members wanting to learn more about their Jewish heritage and raise funds for war relief.
Our Hadassah women raised money for Palestine, refugee assistance and a rebuilding of Europe. In the 1970s our chapter grew to 2,000 members, and raised over $100,000.
Today, the Minneapolis Chapter is thriving. Our chapter supports Hadassah’s hospitals in Israel, at-risk students at Hadassah’s Youth Aliyah villages, Israel Education Services vocational and educational training and the Jewish National Fund program of land reclamation and beautification. Join us.
