Susan and Sarah will lead us through a fascinating, fun, delicious, and musical weekend of Sephardic history and culture. Sarah Aroeste is a Ladino singer/songwriter, author, and activist committed to bringing awareness of Sephardic music and culture to audiences around the globe. Susan Barocas is a writer, chef, and teacher passionate about exploring, presenting and preserving Sephardic cuisines, cultures and history.

4-6 p.m. Boreka-making and Grape leaf-rolling with Susan
Learn tips and tricks for working with filo dough to prepare pumpkin borekas and practice the art of rolling rice and herbs into grape leaves to make yaprakas.
6:00 – 6:30 pm Moroccan Mocktails and Cocktails

6:30-8 p.m. Sephardic Music and Food Experience with Sarah and Susan.
Enjoy borekas, yaprakas, and a variety of salads while learning about the connection between music and food, which is at the heart of Sephardic culture and tradition.
