The Haggadah: A Living Document

By most every measure, Passover is THE HOLIDAY of the modern Jewish world. It is more widely celebrated than any other of our feast and fast days. It shapes our deeply cherished ethical values of freedom and justice. It serves as an intriguing bridge to our Christian neighbors. And its place in popular culture, from being featured on ABC, PBS, and BBC, to its starring role in one of Woody Allen’s Oscar winning films, has assured the holiday a pervasive, contemporary prominence.

Haggadot, created and recreated many times over, reflect our tradition mapped on the realities of our current time. Join me for a three session, pre-Passover Zoom series as we prepare for Pesach, 2025:
