What the Bleep?! This Week’s Hot Jewish News

A lot of crazy &^%$ happens in the Jewish world each week. Don’t miss these stories on: Mi Shebeirachs, hot single Jewish actresses, #ihadanabortion, happy Jews, gay marriage, and more.

A crazy terrible piece of ^%$& person fired shots at a group of people meeting to talk about politics and their community at an Arizona grocery store killing 6 – at current count (including a federal judge) and critically injuring several more, including Arizona’s first Jewish congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot in the head.

Is it something in the Matzah? Jews are the happiest, overall. Nice.

The story behind #ihadanabortion. Woah. And she’s Jewish.

Pray for Debbie Friedman, legendary Jewish singer and songwriter in the hospital now. She deserved more than a WTB mention, so read my article about her, and her music here.

Another hot Jewish actress is single. Sorry Macaulay Culkin.

Rabbi Latz of Shir Tikvah got some press this week, when he joined a handful of rabbis and other religious leaders nationwide in refusing to sign state marriage licenses until the state of Minnesota allows gays to marry. May be a long time, rabbi. Kol Ha Kavod in your protest though. Read more on Minnpost, and stay tuned for Rabbi Latz’s sermon on the topic, to be posted on TC Jewfolk in the next few days.

JTA’s twitter list just a ploy for social media attention? Maybe. If not, heck, why weren’t we on it? Hello!

The next Miss America may be an MOT! Tune in on January 15th!

Thanks to Ron at Capital J for this hilarious satire (but oh how true some of it is), straight from an Israeli Comedy TV show.  In this video, Eretz Nehederet (Wonderful country), Israel’s satirical program, imagines what happens when the “reformist” educational movement Im Tirtzu finishes up with the universities and moves on to the kindergartens.
