Fractured Bubble wins the NY Magazine Sukkah City award. (pictured here). Learn more about how the Fractured Bubble Sukkah was built. Check out all the Sukkah City artsy (and unbelievable) entries.
“Pro-Israel” organization J Street just disclosed that it received $250,000 in 2008-2009 from Jewish millionaire George Soros (who by the way makes sure to say that he is not a “Zionist”). Weird, because they’ve denied receiving money from Soros before.  Huh?  J Street also disclosed that $810,000 (1/2 of its total donations) came last year from a woman in Hong Kong named Consolacion Esdicul. Um… what? No seriously, why does she care about Israel? Motives, please? Explanations?
Speaking of self-hating Jews… Check out this couple from Poland.
No. The Israeli delegation to the UN did not purposely skip Prez Obama’s speech on Israel. They were frickin’ celebrating the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, you idiots. And by idiots, I don’t just mean right-wing bloggers who “reported” on this earlier this week, but also MPR, who my sister heard this week “reporting” on the Israelis “allegedly” skipping Obama’s speech for their “Jewish holiday.”  Those Jews and their “holidays”!
And in honor of Sukkot, some rockin’ songs about “shelter” including one by our fav Jewish Minnesota folk singer.
