What the Bleep?! This Week's Hot Jewish News
U.S. Senator Rand Paul makes a good point – we have too much debt – and comes to a conclusion that a lot of people (yours truly included) don’t like – so cut funding to Israel. As a result, Sen. Rand gets flack from Senate Democrats and Christians who love Israel.
One of our favorite Jews in show business (come on, he’s coming out with a movie where his last name is MACCABEE – what’s not to love?) now has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Mazel Tov Adam Sandler.
Justin Bieber has a Jewish soul. Or at least a Jewish manager.
Want to run for U.S. President? Head to Israel.
“Funny Girl” doesn’t cut it for Barbra Streisand’s cousin – Israel won’t let him make Aliyah (his Christian missionary activity is seen as “working against the Jewish people.”). Woah.
A Jewish mama on why Tiger Mamas are wrong. Read up, especially if you’ve missed the whole Tiger Mama v. Jewish Mama debate (this piece gives a good summary).
And in Egypt…. Pro-Mubarak protesters say Jews are behind the anti-Mubarak protesters (of course, because Jews run everything, even protests that would knock a pro-Israel regime out of power); and in case you thought the Muslim Brotherhood might be a nice alternative to Mubarak, well, not for Israel – the Brotherhood is publicly calling for a post-Mubarak Egypt to make war (I mean, break its peace treaty – same diff, if you ask me) against its ally of 30 years.
Rockstar Foodie MOT Andrew Zimmern gives praises to Punch’s awesome pizza. Here’s a coupon ‘cuz we love you. Or Andrew does at least.
Wow. Former Prez Jimmy Carter and Simon & Schuster were just sued on behalf of all those out there who thought Jimmy Carter’s book “Palestine Peace Not Apartheid” was legitimate history and not opinionated anti-Israel drivel, and then, once they read the book, realized there were factual omissions and misleading opinions! Shocked! Let’s sue! Puhlease. I dare you to find me one book without a slant on the Arab-Israeli conflict, first of all. And second of all, I may be wrong (free speech lawyers let me know), but I think a person has the right to write any anti-Israel tales he wants. You just have to be dumb enough to read it and believe it.

The only thing that unites the pro-Mubarek (corrupt Arab militarists) and anti-Mubarek (Islamic fundamentalist war-mongers) is their hatred of Israel and Jews. Frightening.
