Have fun and get fit at JFCS NextGen’s Ultimate Fitness Health & Wellness Expo July 17

Studies have found that the most successful professionals are fit, healthy and can manage stress well. JFCS NextGen will host a Health & Wellness Expo on Stress Management Tuesday, July 17, from 6:30–9:30 p.m. at Ultimate Fitness & Training Center (11111 Greenbrier Road, Minnetonka).
The event will include breakout sessions and activities on nutrition and cooking, yoga, Zumba, personal training and much more. Come prepared to exercise! Keynote speaker Dr. Joshua Riff will speak on stress management and how to stay healthy in a chaotic and high-pressure professional work environment.
Riff is the VP of retail clinical strategy at WellPoint, a multistate conglomerate of BlueCross/BlueShield Plans. He is also in charge of its Public Health Policy division, where he strives to eliminate racial disparities and pediatric obesity.
Prior to joining WellPoint, Dr. Riff served as the Chief Medical Director of Target Corporation. At Target, he played an important role in creating a culture of wellness and personal accountability. He has strong interest in human performance and has given many talks on life balance, time management and mission fulfillment. He is a board-certified and practicing emergency medicine physician.
Breakout sessions
1) Anton Henckel, an Ultimate Fitness Professional, will lead one of several 25-minute breakout sessions. Personal trainers with Anton’s passion and ability to motivate and inspire are rare. For more than 20 years, he has helped people of diverse ages, fitness levels, personalities and physical limitations achieve lifelong and life-changing results. He is the ultimate motivator!
2) Dave Rhein has studied at LifePower Yoga and Devanadi Yoga, and has seen first-hand the compelling benefits of yoga and meditation in his own life. He is excited to share these wonderful gifts with the Expo attendants and guide you through a balanced, mindful practice.
3) Zumba is a fitness class that combines dance and fitness moves.  Inspired by Latin dance and music, Zumba uses a variety of styles in its routines, including cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and hip-hop. Music selections include both fast and slow rhythms to help tone and sculpt the body.
4) A professional chef from the Ultimate Café – Where Healthy Meets Tasty will lead three 25-minute breakout “cooking classes” on healthy cooking. You will get to see firsthand how you can cook healthy, but still preserve the experience of amazing tastes.
“Come and learn how to get in the best shape of your life,” said Michelle Balow of Ultimate Fitness & Training Center. “Get tips on how to workout efficiently, eat clean and get results.
