Woodstock ’15 (Part 3)
Wed., July 15; 5:30 p.m. Brookview Park, 200 Brookview Pkwy, Golden Valley, MN
Temple of Aaron hosts the second of its four-concert series, featuring Levitt / Awend Band. Families and children are encouraged to attend. Rita’s Italian Ice will be served. I’ve literally nothing to say. The band has given me nothing to make fun of, big poopheads!
Spice It Up
Wed., July 15; 2 p.m.; Appetite for Change; 1200 W. Broadway Ave. #180, Minneapolis, M
Ah, yeah. Need some extra spice in your life? Extra adult spice? Well, then I say it’s time to dim the lights, turn on the Barry White, and—whoops! Wrong audience! Anyhoo…Sabes JCC has organized this culinary workshop, which will incorporate Jewish values into the ingredients for a delicious meal. The purpose of the event is to shed light on “food stewardship in the community” by talking to local chefs, as well as opening minds to new recipes and culinary skills. Special guests will include Michelle Horovitz, Appetite for Change, Danny Schwartzman..
Sun., July 19; 3:30 p.m.; Agamim Classical Academy; 1503 Boyce St., Hopkins, MN
Tired of your kids learning the usual languages like French, Spanish, German, etc.? Well, Agamim Academy has a pitch for you at this exciting open house event! Yep, it was only a matter of time before public schools taught the language of the “Chosen People”. The new charter school is academically rigorous, public and tuition-free, with daily Hebrew language instruction beginning this Fall! Register at agamim.org.
Sun., July 19; CHS Field; 360 Broadway, St. Paul, MN
At this point, anyone who reads this column knows where I stand with sports, so I’ll keep this short and to the point. St. Paul Federation’s Young Adult Division invites those interested to attend a St. Paul Saints game (Winnipeg vs. St. Paul Saints). Don’t say I didn’t do nuthin’ for ya. You’re welcome.
