Job Summary/Description:
The Development Coordinator is responsible for implementing annual fundraising campaigns to achieve annual fundraising and development (FRD) goals. The Development Coordinator is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Chief Development Officer.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Coordinate and implement the JCC annual giving campaign, Give to the Max campaign, Passover-for-all campaign and Friends of the Arts campaign
- Coordinate and implement (with the JCC development team) JCC special events including: Golf and Games event, the J-Event, and an annual Endowment Society cultivation event
- Develop and implement strategies to cultivate and grow corporate sponsorships
- Act as primary point of contact for donors ($1-999 annually)
- Work with CEO to steward Major Donors ($1k+ annually)
- Assist in managing lay leader participation in JCC fundraising efforts
- Input and update donor data following JCC donor database protocols and procedures
- Actively participate as a member of the JCC staff team

Experience and Qualification Requirements:
Required Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field
Qualifications:
- Five years of progressive professional experience in fundraising, development or other relevant non-profit settings
- Demonstrated success in leading fundraising campaigns
- Experience executing strategic plans to achieve both short and long-term goals
- Ability to understand the needs and interests of Major Donors in order to build and leverage relationships with the JCC
- Understanding and ability to work closely with lay leaders and members of the community
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, allocate resources and meet deadlines
- Deep commitment to the mission of the JCC
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience working with donor database systems (Raiser’s Edge or similar)
- Some working knowledge of tax laws that impact charitable giving, personal assets and estates
- Knowledge of Judaism and/or previous experience working with the Jewish community
