The Minnesota Jewish Theater Company Presents: The Last Schwartz. On the anniversary of their father’s death, three brothers and their sister return to the family home for the unveiling memorial service. Grounded in painful pasts, this wacky comedy/drama explores Jewish identity and the question of cultural continuity within family dynamics.

Next Gen + Hag Sameach Everything But the Movie Night (Free – But Bring an $18 AMC Gift Card)

Join NextGen to fill gift bags for teens with candy and movie tickets in support of our Hag Sameach program. Instead of going shopping this year at Target, we are asking those who are able to come to please bring an AMC Theater Gift Card worth 2 movie tickets or more or an $18 donation. NextGen will be making a contribution match up to a specific amount towards the gift cards donated at the event.
Herzl Benefit Concert ($36 and Up)
November 3 @ 6:30 p.m.
The evening kicks off with a Sponsors-only pre-party featuring heavy appetizers and hosted drinks at 6:30 pm. Doors open for general admission ticket holders at 8 p.m. Join us Saturday night, November 3, 2018, at The Music Hall in Minneapolis. Kick off this celebration of Herzl Camp at our Sponsors-only pre-party, get a Taste of Herzl History, and sing along with chart-topping KT Tunstall!
B’Yachad & Brews – Powered by YALA & JFS (Free)

YALA Twin Cities (A project of the Minneapolis and St. Paul Jewish Federations) is teaming up with Jewish Family Service of St. Paul! We’ll be continuing our annual tradition of volunteering and collecting items. We’ll create gift bags that will be delivered to families and individuals in need this holiday season.
We’ll meet at Target (more details on the event page) at 6. You’ll get your personalized shopping list. After the shopping, we’ll get together for a few beers and snacks (paid for by YALA) with your friends at Lake Monster Brewing!

Jerusalem: A Love Story with Sarah Tuttle-Singer & Young Adult Pre-Reception ($10 for pre-reception)

Join YALA, TCJewfolk, JCRC, and Makom for this unique opportunity to meet with Sarah Tuttle-Singer, a brave, funny, insightful and charismatic American Israeli author who will speak about her new book, “Jerusalem, Drawn and Quartered: One Woman’s Year in the Heart of the Christian, Muslim, Armenian, and Jewish Quarters of Old Jerusalem.” Heavy Appetizers // Beer // Wine will be provided.
Proceeds from this event will go to Sarah’s favorite non-profit organization.

Tal Brody was an All-Big Ten & All-American basketball player at the University of Illinois. Brody will discuss his first trip to Israel with the USA team to the 1965 Maccabiah Games, and his decision to give up his NBA career and taking up a challenge and make aliyah to Israel. Brody became one the most honored new immigrants in Israel’s history receiving at age 34, the highest civilian honor, the Israel Prize.
