Job Summary/Description:

The successful candidate for this part time position will work with JFS Staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure meaningful community programming, volunteer engagement and cross-agency collaboration. Must be a self-starter with experience in program development, adult learning, and community engagement.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with JFS Community Engagement Manager, JFS Staff, and community partners to develop and implement programming for community members
  • Develop written communication to promote programming
  • Work with Community Engagement Manager to create a system for evaluation and collecting feedback of 
  • Community engagement programs
  • Represent JFS in community collaborations
  • Maintain relationships and be an integral partner in collaborative programming and implementation
  • Maintain Program Communication in conjunction with the Community Engagement Manager and the Marketing Department, develop written and electronic communication to promote Community Engagement/FLE/Volunteer 
  • Services initiative
  • Recruit, train and support volunteers for volunteer projects at JFS
  • Document volunteer time in database
  • Plan and execute volunteer recognition

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of Twin Cities Jewish Community
  • Adept at Microsoft word and excel, database entry and management
