Who The Folk?! Alexandra Sakurets

What drives someone to go towards a war zone and work with refugees? This week we talk to Alexandra Sakurets, a Ukraine-born Minneapolis resident and registered nurse. She’s currently in Przysml, Poland, on the border with Ukraine, treating refugees escaping Russia’s war on their country.

Fair warning: the interview has a lot of abrupt breaks in it as she was on shift working to treat people with all manner of ailments. But it is a slice of her daily existence, helping people from her country of birth who are trying to escape. Want to donate?
