Who The Folk?! Rabbi Aaron Weininger

When it was announced more than two years ago that Rabbi Aaron Weininger would become Adath Jeshurun’s senior rabbi on June 1, 2023, he was asked if he’d be ready for the job. How can a rabbi know? And how does a congregation, which has had to do this once in a generation, make it happen? Rabbi Weininger talks about the work that went into his ascension to senior rabbi, what Pride month means to him as the first openly gay rabbi admitted to the conservative movement’s rabbinic school, and what type of evolution he’s seen in the movement on LGBTQ issues, on this week’s Who The Folk Podcast!

Plus, as a bonus photo, the goat farm in the Negev that we discussed early in the pod!
