During the 2008 financial crisis, Ian Rosenthal nearly saw first-hand what it would be like to be unhoused. Watching their family nearly lose their house helped lead Rosenthal to their current job as the housing justice organizer at Jewish Community Action. We talk about their background in organizing, the harrowing events that helped bring them to this field, and the upcoming Shelter of Justice: A Housing Justice Sukkot event Sept. 26 at the State Capitol, on this week’s Who The Folk?! Podcast.
