The End of One Chapter, the Start of Another – Minnesota Mammalehs: Stories From The Tribe Podcast Wraps Up + 2025 Live Show Details

We just published the final episode in our Minnesota Mammalehs: Stories from the Tribe podcast series!

Over the past 12 weeks, we’ve had the honor of sharing the 12 true stories, read by their authors, who are the local Jewish women who made up the cast of TC Jewfolk’s first storytelling show of the same name.

These stories all share the thread of Judaism and motherhood – the good, bad, funny, sad, and golden moments of being or having a mammaleh – and have touched our community’s hearts, sparked conversations, and brought us all a little closer together.

If you haven’t had a chance to listen yet, don’t worry – the full series is available now and they can all be found right here.

Why Listen?

Whether you’re someone who missed the original storytelling show or you simply want to relive some of the unforgettable moments, this podcast is for you.

It’s an opportunity to connect with 12 voices and stories that make our community so special, and we hope it leaves you feeling inspired to share your own story, too.

Which leads us to …

Your Turn: Everyone Has A Story To Tell

We’ll be sending out a call for auditions in January 2025, and we’re eager to hear from people who are interested in sharing their Mammaleh-themed stories from the bima.

Our goal is to stitch together a show that represents all of our collective Mammaleh story.

Auditions Details

The call for auditions will open in January and auditions will be in February.

All Mammaleh stories should:

  • Your story should be around 5 minutes long when read out loud at a regular reading pace.
  • Your story should focus on a specific moment in time.
  • Your story should be filled with details that take us into the moment with you.
  • Your story should somehow thread to being or having a Mammaleh.

We’re looking for a variety of themes, styles, and topics – everyone has a story to tell, we can’t wait to hear yours!
