Code Pink is boycotting Ahava products. Just makes me want to buy more of it.
1. Israel’s ‘Rape by Deception’ Verdict Belies Racism. The Sisterhood Blog (The Forward). An Arab married man who told a 1. single and 2. Jewish woman that he was 1. single and 2. Jewish in order to have sex with her when he was actually 1. married and 2. Arab has been convicted of “rape by deceit” and sentenced to 18 months in prison. Racism? Maybe. It’s hard to accept any other understanding, really. Of all the articles I’ve read on the subject (many of which use this as an opportunity to lambast Israel on other counts), I’ve been most impressed with the Sisterhood blog’s coverage, and balance of this issue. 2. Boston Rabbi Accused of Naked Mikvah, Multiple Child Molestation Charges. Heeb. The author makes an interesting point – we’re used to these allegations being lobbed against Catholic priests, but our rabbis can actually have sex. And are encouraged to do so in the confines of committed relationships before G-d, yadda, yadda. So what’s with this sick rabbi?
3. Mel Gibson Wants to Bust Jewish Knee Caps. Heeb. Because we needed another reason to stop watching that schmuck’s movies…
4. Code Pink: Slinging Mud and Hate at Ahava. The Sisterhood blog. Code Pink is trying to get stores to boycott Ahava because the products are made in an Israeli kibbutz on the West Bank. No wonder their hands are so dry and brittle. Okay, okay, but really, this is B.S. Makes me want to go out and buy some of that dead sea mud to rub all over my feet right now.
5. Tu B’av, the Jewish love day (yes, there is such a holiday) started at sundown tonight. So join JDate and make your Bubbe happy. 6. Israel’s controversial conversion plan shelved. Seattle Times. For now. But give it 6 months and the bill is likely to raise its divisive head again.

West Bank is “stolen” about as much as the United States land is “stolen” from Great Britain. Which brings us to the Ugly Truth about Code Pink: their headquarters are located on the “stolen” land. To be consistent, Code Pink should really boycott Code Pink.

To steal something u have to take it away from people who owned it. They British never owned America. They occupied it. But then I guess for “kool aid” drinkers occupation means ownership.

The Angles, the Saxons, and Normans occupied the Roman occupied land of the Celts. Really, we can go back to human occupied Neanderthal land if you’d like. Yehoshua: I guess your “Kool Aid” or “Amoebic thories” omit the fact that the state of Israel was formed not on the West Bank and Gaza. It was explicitly recognized that there was a native population that existed at that point. I guess now your definition of the state of Israel and its borders goes beyond anything that was agreed in the UN. And now we have to include Amoebae theories and any other wacky fundamentalist theories cooked up along the way
Xper: Perhaps we just have an issue of semantics here. Define “native” and your criteria for establishing such a definition.

Since u don’t agree with the UN or League of Nations or perhaps anything since the world community voted for the Land of Israel, perhaps you could tell us that for the sake of this “argument” the history from the Stone Age would be better suited. And perhaps the Ice Age for someother argument, then perhaps the Bronze Age.
We have an issue of time frame here. Perhaps you could give us a breakdown of which period in history you would choose depending on how it allows you make up a story.
Because after all the United Nations Charter means nothing.

I didn’t actually mention the UN or League of Nations in my posts. For clarity’s sake I was interested in your definition of native, hence my facetious reference to so called natives going back through time. Again, please reread my posts. I’m still curious as to your construct of the term native so please explicate.
My construct of native is exactly that the United Nations defined. The same definition that was in existence when the state of Israel was created. Now that’s pretty simple isn’t it or is it not. And i do realize that may be difficult for u to accept.
You may not mention the UN or League of Nations but that is the universally accepted definition. You seem to use the Ice Age, Bronze Age, Stone Age, microbial or Amoebic or any other wacky religious fantasy theories.
Try to answer my questions also by providing a breakdown of which “Age” do u use for your definition for which argument.
Wow, this is shaping up to be a very productive discussion. Not.
The reality is that almost every country of note at some point agreed to having certain borders, and then, as a result of war – offensive or defensive – acquired additional territory. This is certainly true of the UN “special five” – US, Russia, China, France, and Great Britain.
Code Pink and the like pretend that it’s not the case and treat Israel according to standards that do not apply to any other country.
Good point Dylan. To expand on it, the West Bank Arabs organized with Egypt, Jordan, and Syria to attack Israel in 1948 and again in 1967 in an attempt to drive her into the sea. They lost the wars and the land. They tried an intifada in recent years but it did not succeed. So … the new strategy is to convince the rest of the world that the military actions never happened and Israel stole their land. You can fool some of the people …

A civilian does not loose his land and freedom (after war time) due to war. Iraq’s citizens did not loose their land and freedom to the America or Kuwait. Neither did the Japanese etc.
David and Dylan and the rest of the crowd can make up any cockamamie theory they wish. But in the end the whole world knows the truth. Palestinian civilians in the West Bank wake up every day to see their land stolen.
