I think that there’s beauty—positivity—in taking something ugly or negative or sad and creating something good out of it. I think this happens when we talk about the harder parts of our stories. We’re not defining ourselves by the negativity, we’re just holding space for the experience; and in doing so, we’re inviting others to share theirs.
On this night during the Passover Seder, everyone makes the family mealtime their number one priority. We forget about our inbox flooded with e-mails, the overflowing laundry baskets and the chaos of just trying to get everything done. We make a valiant effort to engage our children in the mealtime experience while we ourselves relax and just breathe.
We know you have many choices when it comes to what you read online during your day. So we try not to say this often, and we don’t say it lightly: If you only read one thing today, read this.
