Position Summary:
This position counters antisemitism on campus by empowering students and fostering critical relationships across Minnesota’s university and college campuses with a particular focus on the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
This position will coordinate education and advocacy initiatives on campus, serving as a liaison between Jewish student groups (e.g., Hillel, Chabad, Jewish Greek Life) and community partners.
The position’s primary responsibilities include:
- Build relationships with key Jewish student and campus professional leaders (Hillel, Chabad, etc.), as well as Jewish faculty/staff, and University administrators
- Liaise between campus and JCRC/community stakeholders
- Develop civic engagement and leadership programs for Jewish students
- Collaborate with JCRC and our partners to educate about Jewish identity, antisemitism, and Middle East issues on campus
Key Responsibilities
Education & Advocacy:
- Engage, educate, encourage exploration, and empower Jewish students
- Develop and implement student initiatives to disrupt antisemitism through education and relational organizing
- Coordinate and lead educational programs on topics related to Jewish identity, antisemitism, and Israel for both Jewish and non-Jewish participants
- Provide civic engagement and leadership opportunities
- Support students to engage with student government and other relevant student organizations
Campus Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with Jewish student groups and leaders (e.g., Hillel, Chabad, Jewish Greek Life), university administrations, and other relevant campus stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with student affairs professionals and interfaith partners across Minnesota’s campuses
- Serve as the primary point of contact between campus leaders and JCRC
- Partner with local and national Jewish organizations to bring speakers, workshops, and events to campuses
- Support students, faculty, and staff in documenting and reporting bias incidents.
- Establish a steering committee with key stakeholders to guide work
- Seek grants to advance the goals of this position
Qualifications Requirements:

- Experience in community organizing, student engagement, or campus/government relations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills
- Highly organized
- Experienced with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Ability to juggle multiple projects of varying urgency and timelines simultaneously
- Flexibility and adaptability to shift priorities toward emerging needs
- Creative problem-solving
- Commitment to the multiple missions of the JCRC
- We anticipate the successful candidate will have 5+ years of professional experience
Preferred Experience:
- Experienced with Salesforce for nonprofits (or similar structured data platform)

Additional Information
Reports to: JCRC Deputy Executive Director
Start date: Immediate
This position will primarily office remotely out of Minnesota Hillel (1521 University Ave. SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414) and other campus spaces when classes are in session.
The JCRC office is located at the Barry Family Campus at 4330 Cedar Lake Road S., St. Louis Park, MN 55416. This is an in-person position.
