Journalist Neal Gendler to Speak to Hadassah

Join Hadassah Minneapolis St. Paul for our Annual Coffee Klatch for members and prospective members. The program will be an informative conversation with Neal Gendler on Sunday, August 18 at 10:30 a.m., at the Minnesota JCC Capp Center, in St. Paul (formerly known as the St. Paul JCC). The talk is titled:

Why Israel Seems to get Negative Coverage in U.S. News Reports

– It’s not Usually Antisemitism

Topics will include:
*     Is the media biased against Israel?
*     Pro-Hamas demonstrations remind us of demonstrations during the Vietnam war — but there’s a crucial difference.
*     How can you get more reliable and accurate news about Israel?
*     Why Jews should avoid criticizing Israel when talking with others.
*     Q & A to follow presentation.

 Gendler, a Minneapolis resident, retired after 40 years as a Star Tribune reporter and copy editor. He now reviews books for the American Jewish World, and his reviews also appear in The Jerusalem Report. The event fee is $5 per person. To view the flyer, click here. To register, click here.
