laugh in peace3 A Rabbi and a Muslim Walk Onto the Stage at Temple of Aaron...That’s not the beginning of a bad Minnesota joke. It’s the beginning of a hilarious evening to benefit the Talmud Torah of Saint Paul on Sunday, February 21nd, 2010.

Vermont Rabbi Bob Alper and Palestinian Muslim Mo Amer, co-star of the movie “Allah Made Me Funny” are coming to Temple of Aaron for “an evening of non-political laughter,” dessert buffet and live auction to benefit the Talmud Torah of Saint Paul.

Now, I know many of you reading this don’t have tons of cash. And the ticket price is $54. But consider how much you would spend to see these two comedians on the same stage. Then think about the yummy desserts you’ll be snacking on. Oh, yeah, and then try to put a price tag on your Jewish education…. It’s worth it. I’ll be there with bells on. Well, not really. But my laughter is like bells… whatever.

For more information about the benefit, go to the Talmud Torah of Saint Paul‘s website, or read about the event in the American Jewish World newspaper. But most importantly, here are a few great clips from the stars of the evening.
