PJ Library Connector (for ages 0-2) and PJ Library Connector (for ages 6-8)

JFCS is recruiting for 2 PJ Library Connectors. One position will be responsible for engaging families of with children from newborn to age two by providing support, resources and easy-to-access experiences. This position will also facilitate connections to other families and the Minneapolis Jewish community.
The other position will be responsible for engaging with families of children ages 6-8 and will create innovative programming using the PJ Library books. The program will inspire families to engage and be interested in being a part of the Minneapolis Jewish community.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Create programming bi-monthly centered around PJ Library books; manage logistics, marketing and development of informal, small-scale engagement opportunities.
Contact families to keep connected and evaluate interest to develop programming.
Provide content for and regular updates on social media sites.
Promote and attend PJ Library Minneapolis events.
Participate in monthly training.
Experience and Qualification Requirements:
EDUCATION: BA or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of PJ Library and Jewish tradition; skills related to parenting and infants/toddlers
• Technical abilities to effectively administer social media sites.
• Ability to work collaboratively to develop programs and coordinate services that address identified needs.
• Knowledge of the Twin Cities Jewish community
• Strong interpersonal communications skills and written communications skills. Organizational skills/detail oriented. Ability to work with professionals such as vendors, corporate representatives, Jewish communal organizations, etc.
The positions offer a hourly wage of $16/17 per hour
Must have access to a laptop, IPad or PC and the Internet.
Must have use of car, current Minnesota Drivers License, auto insurance with appropriate coverage limits and clean driver record.
