After Hostage Crisis, Texas Rabbi Speaks; Congregation Prays For Healing

Just 48 hours after surviving a hostage situation at Congregation Beth Israel, Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker has been speaking out about his ordeal.

He spoke to CBS in an interview posted on Monday morning, describing how he faced down the British citizen who trapped the rabbi and three other congregants for 12 hours in their synagogue this past Shabbat.

On Monday evening, the congregation also held an interfaith healing service which was livestreamed on Facebook, where the rabbi thanked first responders who worked to keep congregants and himself safe. You can watch the service when it becomes available here:
