When Rabbi Jason Rodich and his husband decided to move home to Minneapolis with their young family, he did so with no job waiting for him when he left his Northern California pulpit. But then, the synagogue of his childhood came calling — but for a different sort of opportunity. Rodich is the newest communications director at Temple Israel, where he’s helping to shape the messages from Minnesota’s largest synagogue. We talk about the transition from pulpit rabbi to synagogue employee, the evolution of Judaism, and how he considers communications to be a pulpit of its own, on this week’s Who The Folk?! Podcast.
