As a long-time journalist at the Minnesota Star Tribune, Howard Sinker’s 45-year run at the paper ended with a job he never could have conceived of when he started: digital editor. But along the way, he covered the Twins, reported on a chaotic time at the University of Minnesota when on the higher education beat, and was ushered to the editor’s desk at a time when he had a young son and was happy for the adjustment in schedules. We talk about how journalism has evolved in his more than four decades in the profession, how teaching future journalists at Macalester College has changed, and a post-mortem on the Vikings season, on this week’s Who The Folk Podcast.
