Who The Folk?! Rabbi Rebecca Kamil

When she was a child, the death of her sibling helped lead Rebecca Kamil down the path of being a rabbi after seeing how the Temple Israel clergy helped her family in a time of deep sadness. But she also remembered making house calls with her father, who was a geriatrician. These two memorable moments led Kamil to both the clergy and the chaplaincy. We talk about her new chaplaincy practice, Family Caregiver Support Services, why she chose to be a chaplain, and what it’s like being a rabbi in her hometown, on this week’s Who The Folk Podcast.
