One of the largest pro-Israel conferences in history is taking place this Sunday – Tuesday, March 21 – 23, in Washington, DC, and TC Jewfolk is going to be filming and blogging about live. Yep, you guessed it. It’s time for AIPAC’s National Policy Conference!
Called the “most important organization affecting America’s relationship with Israel,” AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee) is a lobbying organization that works with students, community members, and legislators to ensure American support for Israel.
TC Jewfolk’s Editor-in-Chief Leora Maccabee and Israeli politics blogger Jenna Mitelman will be covering the AIPAC Policy Conference non-stop, blogging about the major speeches (Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Professor Alan Dershowitz, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to name a few), and interviewing Minnesota’s legislators about their positions on Israel.
You won’t want to miss TC Jewfolk’s coverage of this important Middle East policy event. Starting Saturday night, here’s how you can stay tuned to the pulse of Washington, DC:
- Make TC Jewfolk your home page, and check the blog every few hours. We’ll post throughout the day Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with snippets of speeches, interviews, and political commentary that you won’t want to miss.
- Subscribe to TC Jewfolk via email or Google Reader to ensure that you don’t miss an article. The emails only go out once a day, and include all of that day’s posts. We’ll also upload every new blog post to TC Jewfolk’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
- Subscribe to TC Jewfolk’s newly-launched Youtube Channel. We will be posting our video interviews with Minnesota’s United States Senators and Representatives, as well as University of Minnesota students and members of AIPAC’s Minnesota delegation. We’ll also be capturing the flavor of the conference, with footage of the 7,000 plus pro-Israel delegates inside the conference center and the protesters outside.
And, as always, we strongly encourage you to join the conversation in the comments to each post.
We’ll see you in DC.
