Music and Memory: A Violins of Hope Family Experience

Bring your elementary-aged children for a warm, age-appropriate morning of story, music, and hands-on creativity inspired by the Violins of Hope residency. Families will gather for a reading of the children’s book Violin of Hope by Ella Schwartz, enjoy live music, and learn about the remarkable violins. —and the stories they carry. Children and caregivers will then create a related art project and share a light breakfast together. Each participating family will receive a complimentary copy of Violin of Hope to take home, so the conversation, questions, and wonder can continue long after the morning ends.

Recommended for Children in Grades 1-5

Presented in partnership with PJ Library and made possible through the generous support of Lerner Publishing Group.
