You're Invited: "Bee Season" Author Myla Goldberg at the St. Paul JCC

Don’t Miss the Twin Cities Jewish Book Fair Author Event “Myla Goldberg – The False Friend” on Thursday, January 19 at 7 pm at the St. Paul JCC!

Author Myla Goldberg will appear at the Jewish Community Center of the Greater St. Paul Area (St. Paul JCC) on Thursday, January 19 at 7p.m as part of the Twin Cities Jewish Book Fair. Goldberg is author of the best-selling debut Bee Season, a New York Times Notable Book and winner of the Borders New Voices Prize among other honors—later adapted for the screen. Goldberg’s new novel, The False Friend, deeply resonant and emotionally charged, explores the complexities of moral judgment, the fallibility of memory and the adults that children become—leading us to question the truths that we accept or reject, and the lies to which we ultimately succumb. Book signing will follow the event.
For over 40 years the Jewish Community Center of the Greater St. Paul Area (St. Paul JCC) has been spear-heading a power packed literary festival which over the years has brought in scores of nationally known, popular writers. The Twin Cities Jewish Book Fair continues the tradition and celebrates the significant contributions of today’s finest authors: seasoned writers, wellknown among scholarly or literary circles, and newly emerging voices. Although, some of the presentations speak to Jewish philosophy, history, or study, all have universal appeal. You don’t have to be Jewish to enjoy Bob Dylan, Woody Allen or the Twin Cities Jewish Book Fair. The book fair runs October 25 through February 9, 2012.
