Twin Cities Purim Party (free with registration)

March 3rd @ 7 p.m.-midnight

On behalf of ALL of the young adult groups in the Twin Cities (official and unofficial), we are proud to present Purim 2018. Be sure to register in advance for two (2) free drink tickets. Prizes for costumes will be awarded including gift cards from the General Store, Pinot’s Palette, the Loop West End, Bomberg Chiropractic, and more! Moishe House is running the photo booth, so you know things will get crazy!

Jews and Muslims: Understanding a Complex Relationship ($8)

March 4 @ 10:15 a.m

Enjoy brunch and discuss a this hot topic. Professor Daniel Schroeter from the Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Minnesota and Steve Hunegs, Executive Director of JCRC, will explore Jewish-Muslim history from the 7th century to modern times. This is a recurring event, so check out the TCJF calendar for more info.

St. Paul Wonder Women Unite! ($5)

March 5 @ 7 p.m.

Don’t let the name fool you – This event is for ALL wonder women from both sides of the river. Join Tal Dror, STP’s shlicha, for a night of fun and inspiration. Local slam poetry artist Talia Young will amaze you with her performance. Then, cheer on your favorite Israeli superstar, Gal Gadot, as we screen the blockbuster hit Wonder Woman!

Michael Uram – YALA Pre-reception (free with registration)

March 7 @ 6 p.m.

Be sure to register for this pre-reception happy hour with all your friends before joining the all of our Twin Cities Jewish communities to hear from renowned scholar and Jewish thought innovator – Rabbi Michael Uram. Rabbi Uram will discuss how Jewish institutions and communities can do better at integrating young adults and serving the needs of our changing society.

JCA’s Annual Freedom Seder (Suggested $18 gift)

March 11 @ 1:30-4 p.m.

Every year, JCA joins together with people from a diversity of religious and cultural backgrounds to call for justice and freedom during Passover. Be sure to join in the discussion this year as we integrate stories about immigrant rights, economic justice, criminal justice reform, and voter justice. SO MUCH JUSTICE!

JFCS Hag Sameach Passover Set-Up with Moishe House & NextGen

March 13 @ 7 p.m.

JFCS’ Hag Sameach Program provides bags of ritual foods and other items for individuals and families in need to help celebrate Passover – but first we need some help with set up! Join us at JFCS’ beautiful new building (5905 Golden Valley Rd) on the evening of March 13. This volunteer event is co-presented by JFCS NextGen and Moishe House Twin Cities.

Cultivating a Transgender Inclusive Jewish Community (free with registration)

March 13 @ 1 p.m.

We often talk about creating LGBTQ inclusive communities but what does a welcoming community really look like? How do we go beyond words and delve into action? Deep listening, commitment, and understanding are key to this work. Join J-Pride and the JCC’s for this special event to learn about what steps you can take to widen the Jewish tent.

A Life in Transit: Immigration Through an Artist’s Lens ($6 under 36)

March 18 @ 2 p.m.

Join Rimon for the March artist salon. Writer/painter Susan Weinberg and photographer Steve Ozone have created bodies of work that frame the connections between immigrants and their environments. This Salon, moderated by photographer Linda Brooks, uncovers how artists can provoke unexpected insights into questions of identity.

Beth El Young Adult Shabbat ($11)

March 23 @ 7 p.m.

Join the Beth El gang for Shabbat Dinner and (optional) services. These dinners are always a blast, so be sure to register and bring a friend!

Makom Fridays (free – potluck style)

March 23 @ 6:30 p.m.

Every month, the young adults of Adath gather for an informal kabbalat shabbat and potluck dinner. Be sure to come by – and bring a kosher-style dish to share!

JFCS Volunteer Puppy Parade

March 25 @ 2 p.m.

Join JFCS volunteers in bringing joy and pet therapy to older adults at Sholom West. Grab your doggo and meet in the lobby where we’ll “parade” our way around visiting with residents. Uptown CYP Passover Seders ($18 before March 24, $25 after)

Join the Chabad Young Professionals group for Passover. Enjoy a traditional Passover Seder either night with Rabbi Sholom Brooks, Musky, and the whole Uptown Chabad crew. Whether you can’t make it home for the holiday, or just want to see what a four-course Seder with an overstocked wine selection feels like, there is a seat at the table for you. Space is limited, so be sure to register ASAP.

Lastly, don’t miss the opportunity to hear the STP & MPLS mayors speak on Shabbat on March 16th and March 23rd, respectively. Each mayor will speak at Mount Zion Temple during 7:30 p.m. Shabbat services.
